Keeping your butt in the chair

Any good tips for persevering through difficult parts of the story?

Guh.  I don't have any kind

Guh.  I don't have any kind of special technique, but I do think this was, for me, one of the most valuable aspects of NaNoWriMo.  I only had two hours a day to write, and I had to get my 2K or I'd fall behind, and so I just had to keep writing no matter what, or else give up.

So when I get to those spots, I just kind of...put myself in that "must...keep...typing..." mindframe.
