I´ve run into a problem with regards to length. The guidelines say, the stories or story submitted mustn´t exceed 30 pages in standard manuscript format. No matter how much I edit and trim and delete I still come out with a couple of extra lines that turn my stories into 16 pagers instead of 15. My first story has a whole extra page in its final draft form, and my second story has five lines that turn it into a sixteen pager. In times roman, they would be okay, but not in courier new pt. 12.

I do feel that these two stories are representative of where I am right now and I feel they are my strongest stories at this stage. Any advice is much appreciated.

Just went and looked over the guidelines again. I think I got my answer in the line that says: "number of pages must not exceed page limit".
